Shawnee was born in New York City and is an American actor and singer. Shawnee has starred in many horror films, earning her the name "scream-queen". Shawnee Smith is best known for her roles in "The Stand," a film that is based on Stephen King's bestseller with the same name. She has appeared in several television series, including "Cagney and Lacey Married with Children' Murder, She Wrote, as well as Players. The punk/metal group she was in front of "Fydolla" during the mid 2000s with who she performed in throughout the US and in the UK. She was a member of Smith and Pyle, a desert-based country-rock group with actress Missi Pyle. Their debut album was named It's Okay to Be Happy and was recorded in Joshua Tree.
